How can you tell what's wrong?

Using ultrasound, we can get an extremely clear picture of all the veins in your legs. From the tips of your toes to the top of your legs, with ultrasound we can see exactly what is going on. And that's important, because unlike the anatomy of your arteries, which is consistent in just about everyone, the anatomy of your superficial veins (veins that are just under your skin) vary greatly from person-to-person.

Once your entire venous anatomy is identified and mapped with this pain-free procedure, ultrasound technology lets our trained staff see which veins are not working correctly and need to be treated.

It's important to understand that when we say a vein is "not working," we mean that the valves in that vein that stop blood from flowing backwards into your extremities are not functioning properly and needed to be treated.

Surface or superficial veins only carry 10% of your blood back to your heart. Even so, diseased veins need medical attention from a circulatory professional.
